AlarihStudio terms of use

These terms (version 2026-11-04) govern the use of the Alarih Studio application (the "Application"), published by Alarih, a single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company with a share capital of EUR 1,000, whose registered office is at 40 rue de la Tour d'Auvergne, 44200 Nantes, France, registered with the Nantes Trade and Companies Register under number 931 178 495 ("Alarih").

You accept them by ticking the box provided when you create your account. Alarih then records the version of the terms you accepted and the date of your acceptance.

You declare that you are at least 15 years old, or that you have obtained the consent of your legal guardian.

You may use the Application as a consumer or for professional purposes. Where a provision applies to only one of the two, it says so.

The Application is offered as a beta version (demonstration version), free of charge. As of the date of these terms, no paid license is sold.

The Application is under development. As of that date, it is available on macOS (Apple Silicon chips); the Windows and Linux versions are not available and the Workflow mode is under development.

Images and videos generated in demonstration mode carry a visible "ALARIH STUDIO · DEMO" watermark. You agree not to remove, hide or crop it.

The features, performance and availability of the Application may change during the beta. Alarih may end it under the conditions set out in the "Duration, termination and deletion" article.

You agree to provide an accurate email address, whose ownership you confirm with a verification code received by email.

Your password is personal and confidential. You are responsible for the actions carried out with your account and you must inform Alarih without delay of any unauthorized use.

An account can have only one active device at a time. You may replace the active device by signing in from another device; Alarih informs you by email.

You agree not to share your account or circumvent this rule.

The conditions for deleting your account are described in the "Duration, termination and deletion" article.

For the duration of the beta, Alarih grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-assignable and non-transferable right to install and use the Application on one device, for your personal or professional needs.

Subject to what the law allows you to do, you agree not to:

• copy, distribute, rent, sublicense or make the Application available to third parties;
• decompile, disassemble or attempt to extract the source code of the Application;
• circumvent its technical measures, in particular activation, the limit of one active device and the watermark of the demonstration mode.

These restrictions do not deprive you of the rights that the law grants to the lawful user of software: making a backup copy, observing, studying and testing how the software works, and, under the conditions set by law, decompiling it where this is indispensable for its interoperability with another program (article L122-6-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code).

The Application includes and downloads third-party models and software distributed under free licenses (Apache-2.0, MIT, BSD-3-Clause). Their list and the text of these licenses can be found in the Application, under Settings, General tab, "Third-party licenses" section. These licenses apply to those components.

Alarih retains all its rights in the Application, its name and its logo, subject to the foregoing.

The images, videos and voices you generate are produced on your device. Alarih has no access to them unless you send them, for example in a feedback message.

You keep the rights that the law grants you over this content. Alarih acquires no rights over it and asks you for no license.

Copyright protects original works that bear the imprint of a human author's personality; content generated without significant human intervention is in principle not protected. Alarih therefore does not guarantee that generated content is protected by copyright, free of third-party rights or suitable for a particular use.

You are responsible for the instructions you enter and for how you use the generated content. You agree not to generate or distribute content that is unlawful, infringes the rights of third parties, or depicts an identifiable person without their consent or in order to deceive.

If you use the Application for professional purposes and publish an image, video or audio that is a deep fake (generated or manipulated content that resembles existing persons, objects, places or events and may falsely appear authentic), the European regulation on artificial intelligence (article 50) requires you to disclose that it has been artificially generated or manipulated. This obligation is yours and does not depend on the Application's watermark.

The processing of your personal data is described in Alarih's privacy policy, "Alarih Studio application" part.

When you create your account, two switches are offered: sending anonymous usage data (on by default) and receiving news by email (off by default). You can change them at any time in the Application's settings.

The beta Application is provided in the state of progress in which it stands. Alarih endeavors to ensure that it works properly but does not guarantee continuous availability or the absence of errors or interruptions during the beta.

If you are a consumer: these provisions do not limit the statutory warranties you benefit from, in particular the statutory conformity guarantee applicable to digital content and digital services where articles L224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code apply, nor your right to compensation for harm caused by a failure of Alarih to meet its obligations, nor any other protective provisions that cannot be derogated from.

If you act for professional purposes: to the extent permitted by law, Alarih is liable only for direct and foreseeable damage caused by a breach of its obligations, and not for indirect damage such as loss of revenue, customers or data. This limitation does not apply in the event of gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for personal injury.

Your projects and content are stored on your device. Uninstalling the Application from the settings also deletes the workspace that contains them: export what you wish to keep before uninstalling.

These terms apply during the beta and for as long as you use the Application.

You may stop using the Application at any time, uninstall it from the settings and request the deletion of your account by writing to contact@alarih.com.

Alarih may end the beta or access to the Application by giving you at least 30 days' notice, by email or in the Application.

In the event of a serious breach of these terms (fraud, circumvention of the active device rule, unlawful use), Alarih may suspend or delete your account after allowing you to submit your comments, except in cases of urgency or legal obligation.

Your account is also deleted after 2 years without you signing in, under the conditions described in the privacy policy.

Alarih may change these terms, in particular at the end of the beta and when a license goes on sale, which will be covered by separate terms of sale.

Any change is notified to you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or in the Application. If you refuse it, you may stop using the Application and delete your account before that date, free of charge.

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer and live in another country, you keep the protection granted by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts that have jurisdiction under the legal rules, in particular those of your place of residence. No provision deprives you of this right.

If you act as a trader, any dispute falls under the competent courts of Nantes.

Before taking any action, you may write to contact@alarih.com to look for an amicable solution. This step is not mandatory and does not deprive you of any remedy.
